With our partners beside us, we broke ground on 86 affordable homes on church land. Construction began in August 2025.
For years we prayed about what God would do with the empty land next to our sanctuary. In August 2025 that prayer took shape: we broke ground on Palm Lake Urban Sanctuary (PLUS), a community of 86 affordable homes at 5401 22nd Ave N in Disston Heights.
The ceremony brought together our congregation and the partners who make this project possible: Newstar Development and the Pinellas County Housing Authority. The church keeps the land under a long-term lease, and the work is now underway.
